Looking for space and tranquility, yet still close to the heart of downtown? In the lively and up-and-coming Oost neighborhood, a room will become available on August 1 in a large, bright, and practically laid-out apartment! The kitchen, bathroom, floors, and walls have been recently renovated, so you’ll be living in a brand-new home!



With the entrance on Reinwardtstraat but overlooking the lively Dappermarkt, there’s always something to check out (6 days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.!). Can you already picture yourself buying a box of mangoes for 1.50 before closing time (yes, it’s possible) or grabbing some delicious fresh kibbeling?

Both sides of the house have a balcony, so you can enjoy your first cup of coffee as the sun rises or a glass of wine at sunset. Plus, Muiderpoort Station is at the end of Reinwardtstraat, and several tram and bus lines stop literally around the corner. One street over, you’ll find Oosterpark and Linnaeusstraat, home to well-known and lively spots like De Biertuin, de Eeuwige Jeugd, Louie Louie, and, a little further down, Bar Bukowski. The AH and Lidl are 200 meters away, and there are plenty of shops. On the other side of the station is the lively Indische Buurt neighborhood with the charming Javastraat. Within a few minutes by bike, you can be in De Pijp or by the canals!



The rent is 1229 p.m. The house has a total area of no less than 95m2, and the room is 9m2. The room offers flexible layout options, and you’ll also get a third of the large built-in closet in the hallway, which means you won’t need a separate closet in your room. The bedrooms are at the back of the house, so we can assure you that you won’t hear a thing from the market being set up early in the morning. From the bedrooms, you look out onto a quiet courtyard. There’s also a large bike storage area/storage room on the ground floor. The living room has air conditioning, and fortunately, the bedrooms always stay relatively cool in the summer.

The furniture currently in the respective rooms can be purchased, in consultation with the current tenant!



There are three of us living here in total. We—Lola (32) and Jeffrey (34)—both work full-time as a content manager at NBA and an assistant director at a construction company, respectively. We’re looking for a roommate who’s at a similar stage in life (a working professional in their late 20s or early 30s), who definitely enjoys having fun and is socially active, but who’s also looking for peace, comfort, and a real “home” within the house. It would also be great if you enjoy blasting the Top 2000 through your speakers and would like to grab a beer every now and then at the Eeuwige Jeugd.
