Dear room seeker!

A lot is about to change in our cozy and welcoming little house on Boerhaavelaan near Stadspark; on July 31 (or earlier, subject to agreement), a room will become available for an indefinite period (room 1), and we, Emma (25) and Noëlle (21), will be doing an internship abroad and taking a minor in another city from September until around the end of January/February. For now, we’re primarily looking for a new roommate for an indefinite period, but if you’re interested in subletting, please feel free to send us a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible! See the last photo (rooms 2 & 3) for more details.

First, a bit more about our place:

With you joining us, there will be four of us living here in total, though you’ll mostly be seeing the two of us. We’ve both already built a nice little life in Groningen and are nearing the end of our studies, so we sometimes miss each other, but we still try to get together fairly regularly. We often hang out for a chat in the kitchen, we like to eat together whenever possible, and we enjoy doing fun things every now and then, like grabbing a drink in town, taking an Aclo course, or doing a creative activity (we have more hobbies than is good for us ;)).

Our home has a calm yet cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, we don’t have a shared living room, but our doors are always open to each other. In the summer, we do have a lovely terrace where we enjoy eating together or having a glass of wine. We share the kitchen, toilet, and bathroom. Aside from the cleaning schedule, there are no obligations. That said, we’d love it if you’d be willing to pitch in on a regular basis and sometimes take the initiative yourself :).

Now, a bit more about Room 1:

The room is about 12m2, and the rent is €395 per month, plus a small additional fee for Wi-Fi and the washing machine, and a one-time fee of 50 euros to take over the refrigerator in the room and the freezer in the kitchen. The room has two spacious built-in closets. The walls are currently painted pink, but we’ve included some older photos to give you a better idea of the room as a whole, since the bunk bed blocks the view a bit.

Since we’re both leaving on exchange programs fairly soon, we’d really like to give you the opportunity to help us decide who will temporarily take over our rooms. So if you have one or more friends who are interested, please send a group email or mention each other in your individual emails. If not, you’ll of course still have the same say in the matter.
