Hi!
We’re looking for a new roommate for our student house on Noorderhaven in Groningen, starting August 1! There are four of us living here: you’d share the floor with one other girl, and the two of you would share a bathroom and kitchen. The other two roommates live one floor up and have their own facilities there. The only things we all share are the washer and dryer.
We’re not a super close-knit group, but we do enjoy popping in on each other every now and then for a chat or a beer. That’s why we’re looking for someone 21 or older who already has a social life in Groningen and isn’t completely dependent on the house for social interactions. We’re specifically looking for someone who isn’t actively involved in a student organization, because the vibe of the house usually doesn’t mesh well with that.
Of course, you should feel free to hang out with friends in your room—we do that too. But it doesn’t have to turn into your own private bar either :)
The room is about 18 m² and has a small private balcony of about 4–5 m². The rent is approximately 500 euros per month (including utilities, excluding Wi-Fi and washing machine rental), and the lease is for a minimum of 12 months.
