On the south side of the Kaai in Veere stands "Het wapen van Oostenrijck," overlooking Lake Veere. The house, with a plastered facade from the 19th century and original elements from around 1500, has a living area of 330m2 and a cellar of 80m2. The layout includes a living-dining kitchen, front room, upstairs room and several bedrooms with bathrooms. The historic staircase leads to all floors. The garden has a free rear entrance. Additional costs include glass insurance and a one-time €500 for blinds, combination oven and pendant lights. The house was among the "Scottish houses" and has a rich history, with residents such as Nicolaes Rith and Jacob Cunningham. The architectural details date from the 15th and 16th centuries, such as the brick barrel vaults and historic staircase.
