Room Zaandam

A large room in a recently renovated house near the city center of Zaandam. The house has many modern amenities and additional unnecessary luxury amenities that are just nice to have.
You'll be sharing the house with two people, a cat and a dog. Your room will be on the first floor. As for shared spaces, there's a toilet next to it, and on the ground floor a second toilet in the hallway, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a backyard that is surprisingly large and contains a bicycle shed.

Social interactions aren't mandatory, in the sense that there isn't a set time at which we all MUST have dinner together, but definitely encouraged. If you're looking for a house where you'll never see or interact with your roommates, this is not the place for you.

The house is situated in a working-class neighborhood, close to several supermarkets, a park, a hospital and a bus stop that can take you to Amsterdam, which are all within walking distance. The center of Zaandam, and with it the train station to Amsterdam Central(12m ride), is about 15 minutes walking, less if you cycle.
