Nearby is also the large shopping center Gelderlandplein, where you can eat extremely well or go shopping. In 20 minutes you are in the center of Amsterdam and in 15 minutes in the Vondelpark, the most famous and busiest park in Amsterdam. In the summer months theater performances and concerts are held in the Open Air Theater, but you also have the film museum Vondel CS and the Blue Tea House here. Even closer by is the Amsterdamse Bos (amsterdamsebos.nl), which is no less than three times larger than Central Park in New York and is (inter)nationally known for the rowing races held on the Bosbaan. You can relax or exercise in nature there and all kinds of events and festivals are organized.
