What is the maximum rent?

From a legal point of view, the rental price of a residential property must be broken down into bare rent and service costs. These are both subject to rules. If you suspect that your rent is too high, but you cannot check this because the rent has not been split into basic rent and service charges, you can apply to the rent assessment commission (huurcommissie) for such a split. You can then check whether the basic rent and/or service charges are too high and object to this individually.
